Basahri Ya'u is a 7 year old boy who was born in a small village in Niger Republic of the Sahel region. Basahri's childhood was a struggle for survival. His days were filled with long treks for water and searching for food. A chance encounter with our aid workers brought him to our Children's Home - House of Hope. Basahri dreams of becoming a teacher to bring education to his community, where opportunities are scarce.
