Joy Hassan lives with her family in Hamsin, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. She is the first child of a family of three girls and two boys. Her father is elderly and unable to do much farming, while her mother supports the family with small jobs. To survive and work towards the future, Joy combines farming with her part-time schooling.  She needs help to expand her rice farm. In doing so, Joy can do more for her mother, younger siblings and her future.
